Terms & Conditions

Please read the following hostel rules carefully before making a reservation. If you are making bookings for employees, kindly inform them about these terms and conditions.

General Policies

  • Check-in and check-out time: Check-in is at 3 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM.
  • All guests must register at the reception.
  • Unregistered visitors are not allowed access to the rooms.
  • An occupancy fee will be charged to the customer’s account if there is an extra person in the room.
  • If you wish to extend your stay, please contact the reception 24 hours in advance to check availability.
  • Please use our safety lockers for valuable items such as jewelry, money, notebooks, passports, and travel tickets.
  • Jama Hostel is not responsible for any personal losses incurred in the rooms or hostel.
  • Smoking is prohibited in the rooms and bathrooms, except in designated outdoor areas.
  • Playing musical instruments, loud music, or hosting noisy parties is prohibited.
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Cooking is not allowed in the rooms or outdoor areas, except with permission.
  • Washing clothes in the shared bathrooms is not allowed. However, we have a laundry service available for you to request.
  • Any damage caused by guests to hostel property will be the guest’s responsibility.
  • Reservations longer than 7 days will include cleaning service every 4 days.
  • The management reserves the right to terminate the accommodation contract if any of the above rules are violated.

Reservations

To guarantee your reservation, a deposit for the full value of the stay is required. We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit/debit card (Webpay Plus Transbank Gateway) Payments made with a debit card through WEBPAY cannot be cancelled and/or refunded. However, credit card sales do allow for cancellations and refunds.
  • Paypal
  • Mercado Pago
  • Bank transfer.
  • Western Union

The deposit guarantees the confirmation of your reservation. Reservations will not be made without payment. An automatic confirmation of your reservation will be sent by email upon receipt of your payment.

All room or breakfast reservations must be made through our website www.jamahostel.com

No reservations will be taken by email, phone or whatsapp.

Currency

  • The accepted currency for payments is solely the Chilean Peso (CLP).
  • While we provide the option to pay in US dollars via PayPal, it is exclusively offered as an alternative method for online payments using currency conversion.
  • The published price is the final price and no refunds will be issued for Value Added Tax (VAT) for foreign customers.

Late Check-Out

If you choose the late check-out option, please notify us in advance to reserve the room if there are no scheduled reservations. If you leave the room after the check-out time (11 AM), a 50% charge of the daily rate will be applied until 4:00 PM, and 100% will be charged after that time.

Responsibilities

If a guest makes an error in their reservation on our website www.jamahostel.com, concerning the number of rooms, bathroom type (private or shared), number of guests, or other specifications, Jama Hostel cannot be held responsible for the mistake. In such cases, guests have the option to cancel their reservation and the applicable refund policy will be implemented.

To ensure a clear understanding of the responsibility and cancellation policies, we strongly advise guests to carefully review the terms and conditions when making a reservation at Jama Hostel.

Changes and Cancellations of Reservations

Modifications to dates, number of people, and cancellations of reservations must be made exclusively via email to reception: booking@jamahostel.com.

Refunds

If you cancel your reservation made on our website (www.jamahostel.com), please consider the following refund policies:

  • Cancellations made before 5 days: 100% refund of the deposit value.
  • Cancellations made before 3 days: 50% refund of the deposit value.
  • Cancellations made within 1 day: no refund will be issued.
